Denmans Electrical Wholesalers was established in Bristol in 1946. A successful ongoing programme of expansion started in the 1970s and in December 1999, the company itself was acquired by Rexel SA (currently the world’s largest distributor of electrical equipment, with sales in excess of £11 billion).
